User Support

Aster provides maintenance, service and user support for all its programs. In 1998, we introduced 24-hour support for OpenVMS. We can also design and create a suitable archiving solution or solution for secure copying. Our offer also includes designing and implementing disaster recovery plans.

As a SGI (former Silicon Graphics) distributor, we service the whole range of SGI computer equipment for the time of warranty and afterwards. We maintain all hardware based on MIPS and Intel processors and operating systems IRIX, Linux and Windows NT. For maintenance, we usually sign a contract although we also do individual service calls. In the event of serious problems with hardware or considerable errors in software our client is offered help from SGI European Office user support. In our SGI offer are also specialised workshops.

Another part of our offer is system maintenance, consulting, protecting and administering Microsoft BackOffice package and Windows operating system, integration in more complex environments (Unix, Novell, Oracle, IBM...), as well as migration of existing systems to the Windows platform. Our highly qualified team also provides training for users suited to their level of knowledge.

For the operating system SUN Solaris on SPARC and Intel platform, we provide system administration, maintenance and consulting. For Solaris we also organise training at specialised workshops.

As Compaq acquired Digital and Tandem, we have become "Compaq Direct Business Partner". Since its foundation, Aster has offered system support for the OpenVMS operating system on Compaq computers (former Digital). We can not only help you install new systems and upgrade the existing ones but also organise suitable licensing, adjusting the systems and offer help our clients need in their running production.

For the Compaq Tru64 UNIX operating system on AXP platform we offer and carry out system administration, maintenance and consulting.
